Nash has never met you, but he’s coming over like yall rented a lake house together in 2008. He remembers the good times. You’re going to have to play along.

This big, handsome, four-to-five-year-old terrier mix has never met a stranger. Every person is an old friend. Every dog is somebody he’s been meaning to catch up with. Nash could walk into a family reunion with the wrong family and leave with plans for Thanksgiving.

And everybody falls for him. Everybody. We keep introducing him to people like maybe somebody will maintain some professional distance, but five minutes later, they’re holding his face in both hands and telling him things.

He’s just that easy to love.

Nash is a gentle giant with a soft heart, good manners, and a very reasonable vision for his future: get outside, enjoy the day, come home with you.

He’ll happily join you for long walks and hikes, taking in the trails and keeping you company around the next bend. He walks nicely on leash and has plenty of energy for adventure. But when you’re ready to head inside, he’s ready, too. He’s not coming home to train for a second, undisclosed sporting event.

He’s coming home to sit down like a man who spent the afternoon helping you put up a fence.

Reading on the couch? He’ll keep you company. Sitting by a fire on the deck? He can clear his evening. A quiet Sunday with nothing planned? Finally, somebody around here understands leisure.

At around four or five, Nash is past the puppy stage. He’s house-trained, comfortable living indoors, and has grown into a confident, well-mannered companion. He knows where the bathroom is and how to settle down. He does have questions about why you need the entire couch when you’re considerably smaller than he is.

He does well with kids, loves people, and is always happy to make another dog friend. Visiting family—with two legs or four—would be a lovely addition to his social calendar. He’s also independent enough to be happy as your only dog. Nash can enjoy a houseful of company and still appreciate having you to himself when everybody heads home.

For all his size and charm, it’s his gentleness that gets you. The way he walks right up, certain you’re going to be kind. The way he leans in, happy just to be close. You reach down to pet him, lose track of a few minutes, and suddenly understand why we’re all so attached.

We want him to have someone who’s as glad to see him as he is to see everybody else.

Someone with a trail they’d like to show him. A spot beside their chair. A little room in the everyday things that turn into a life.

One day, you’ll head out for a walk and reach for his leash without thinking. You’ll settle in with a book and feel that big head beside your knee. And it’ll be hard to remember when he wasn’t there.

Nash already thinks yall go way back. Give him a few adventures, a thousand ordinary Tuesdays, and a lifetime to prove him right.
