Meet Toffee!

Is there anything sweeter than a puppy named Toffee? We think not!

Toffee is an adorable golden girl with floppy ears, a wispy little muzzle, and the prettiest face! She currently weighs around 8 lbs and is believed to be approximately 4 months old. Basically, she’s a tiny little bundle of sweetness with lots of growing to do!

We believe Toffee is a Chihuahua/Terrier mix. Her mama, Honey, is a petite 12-lb Chihuahua/Terrier mix, but dad is still a mystery! Based on her current size, we’re guessing Toffee may be around 12–20 lbs full grown. Her breed is our best guess based on her appearance, and her adult size is only an estimate since mixed-breed puppies can surprise us!

Toffee is still a young pup with lots of growing, learning, and discovering ahead of her. We’re excited to get to know her little personality and find out what makes this sweet girl special!

Like any puppy, Toffee will need a family ready for all the fun (and occasional chaos!) that comes with puppyhood. Potty training, continued socialization, basic training, and plenty of patience will all be part of the adventure. In return, you’ll get the joy of watching her grow and helping her become the best little companion she can be!

Toffee is arriving Halloween weekend! Until then, she’ll be staying in boarding, so we won’t know much about her personality just yet. We can’t wait for this little sweetheart to arrive so we can get to know her better and share more about her with everyone!

Toffee’s adoption fee is $600, which helps cover the cost of routine veterinary care. Please note that this fee DOES NOT INCLUDE spay surgery.

Adopters will be required to sign a legally binding spay/neuter contract agreeing to have Toffee spayed, typically around 6 months of age unless otherwise recommended by a veterinarian.

Once Toffee has been spayed, the adopter will receive a $100 refund from the adoption fee after providing proof of sterilization from their veterinarian.

Most of our dogs are rescued from high-intake shelters or straight off the streets in South Texas, where countless stray and abandoned animals struggle to survive. Adoption fees help cover the significant costs of veterinary care, vaccinations, preventatives, transportation, and preparing these dogs for their forever homes.

Our puppies receive age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, flea/tick prevention, and microchipping.

Please remember that puppies are not considered fully protected against parvovirus until they have completed their puppy vaccination series. Adopters must be prepared to follow appropriate precautions, including avoiding dog parks, pet stores, and other high-traffic areas frequented by unfamiliar dogs.

All potential adopters must complete an application and be approved before scheduling a meet and greet. Submitting an application does not guarantee approval or adoption of a specific dog.

Please note that we do not offer foster-to-adopt arrangements due to insurance requirements.
