Meet Bones!

Bones may have a spooky-season name, but there is nothing scary about this little face.

Bones is approximately 7 weeks old and will be headed to his foster home in Millsboro, Delaware the weekend of October 2.

Based on Mom’s appearance and Bones’ coloring and build, our best guess is that he is an Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler and Terrier mix, possibly with Chihuahua or another small breed mixed in. Dad is unknown, and mixed-breed puppies can surprise us, so we cannot guarantee his eventual size or breed.

Bones is an adorable mostly white puppy with tan markings and a happy little expression. He is still very young, so we are excited to learn more about his personality once he arrives and settles into foster care.

His future family should be ready for all things puppy: potty training, crate training, puppy teeth, leash practice, socialization, playtime, and plenty of naps and cuddles.

Bones is expected to arrive in Millsboro, DE the weekend of October 2.

His adoption fee is $550.

Because Bones is too young to be altered prior to adoption, all puppy adoptions require a signed spay/neuter contract. The adopter agrees to have the puppy neutered at approximately 6 months of age. The adopter is responsible for scheduling and paying for the procedure. Paws Deep Animal Rescue does not cover the cost of the neuter.

Once proof of neuter is provided to the rescue, $100 of the adoption fee will be returned to the adopter via PayPal or check.

Most of our dogs are rescued from high-intake shelters in Texas or directly from the streets of South Texas. The adoption fee helps cover transportation to our foster homes, age-appropriate core vaccines, deworming, microchip, heartworm testing when age appropriate, and other veterinary and rescue expenses.

We partner with VCA Animal Hospitals. Every adoption includes a complimentary First Exam at a participating VCA location within the first 14 days of adoption. VCA also provides limited health guarantee coverage of up to $250 for certain minor illnesses diagnosed during that initial period.

We do not guarantee breed or adult size. Any breed listed is our best guess based on appearance, personality traits, and any available information about the parents. We also cannot guarantee that any rescue dog is not mixed with pit bull.

Paws Deep Animal Rescue is a nonprofit rescue. Any excess revenue is used to care for animals with additional medical needs and help us continue saving dogs in need.
