Snowball - Great Pyrenees Dog for Adoption in Gainesville, Virginia

Meet Snowball! This beautiful 11-month-old, 70-pound sweetheart is leaving her past behind and making her way to Virginia on September 27th for a brand new life!

Snowball has unfortunately spent her entire life living outside on a chain, yet she has absolutely zero bitterness in her heart. She is incredibly friendly and wonderful with dogs, kids, and people of all ages. Because she is so used to being outdoors, she will need an adopter to help her master house-training. She will be working on it in her foster home as well. She is also used to jumping up to get the attention she craved, so she is currently working on learning to keep her front feet on the ground. She will catch on in no time!

Note: Because she is a Great Pyrenees, we are requiring a securely fenced yard for her safety, as the breed loves to roam and protect their territory.

Most of our dogs are rescued from high-intake shelters in Texas or straight off the streets in South Texas where there are packs of stray dogs running loose. Your fee covers the significant costs of bringing them to safety. Your adoption fee covers: spay/neuter (if old enough), transport fees getting the dogs from Texas to our fosters homes here (that ALONE is $200-$230 per dog), core vaccines, heartworm test (If old enough), deworming, and microchip.

We partner with VCA Animal Hospitals. With every adoption comes a complimentary First Exam at any participating VCA location within the first 14 days of adoption. Follow-up Care Coverage: VCA provides limited health guarantee coverage (up to $250) for specific minor illnesses (like kennel cough or ear infections) diagnosed during that initial 14-day window.

We do not guarantee the breed of any of our dogs or how big they will be when they are fully grown. The breed listed is typically a guess based off of appearance or personality traits. We cannot guarantee that any dog is not mixed with pit. This is a standard part of adopting a dog from rescue.

We are a non-profit rescue. Any access revenue made is used to care for animals with additional medical expenditures that would otherwise result in adoptable dogs having to be left behind and euthanized.
