Dafne is a gorgeous girl with bright blue eyes. She is full of love and joy and is looking for her forever person or family to share it with. In typical Husky fashion, she shows her love by talking to you and giving the best hugs.

Dafne was rescued from the county shelter, where she was scheduled to be euthanized due to overcrowding. She was going to lose her life despite being happy and healthy until Sunnyside Street Dogs with her caring foster took her in.

Dafne would love to find a family who loves taking walks just as much as she does. Maybe the occasional trip to the beach or the mountains. Really anywhere, as long as she is with you! She LOVES to be close with people, even young children :-) We definitely cannot forget to mention her love for swimming/water. She is an Olympic-level doggy paddler! Someone needs to give her a gold medal. If you have a pool or even a pond, she'll be in it!

Dafne does well with other dogs, especially puppies! Her gentle, playful and patient nature is beautifully perfect for puppies and kids of all ages......although, She would love a family where she can be the center of attention and give you all her love. You won't be disappointed, especially if you're familiar with the Husky breed. You'll be so impressed at her calm, gentle, sweet nature and wowed at her uniquely gorgeous tri-coloring; it's hard to see in pictures but her undercoat is light brown (below the black is actually brown) - it's gorgeous!

*We coordinate with multiple transport services that operate weekly to Eastern states and bi-weekly or monthly to Western states from Texas to your state or a neighboring state. These are ground transports using third-party vehicles (vans/buses) converted for dog transport. Each adopter has the ability to track the van using the app Life360, and receives updates from transport along the way. Facebook chats are another resource to stay informed about tracking dogs on transport. Please be able to use one of these available services if you wish to follow your adopted dog on transport.

*Our adoption fees are based on the vetting we put into each dog. Fees for puppies (under 12 months) are higher because they require more vetting than dogs over 1 year.

*Listed breed and age are based on a best-guess estimation by rescue and veterinary staff; DNA tests are not included in adoption.

*Our adopters are eligible to receive 50% off training with Curbed Behaviors Dog Training for programs booked within 30 days of adoption, and 25% off programs booked within 60-90 days of adoption.

The Siberian Husky is a medium sized working dog breed known for its striking appearance and friendly demeanor. Originating from Siberia, these dogs are well adapted to cold climates and are recognizable for their distinctive wolf like appearance, including piercing almond shaped eyes and a thick double coat. Siberian Huskies are known for their high energy levels, intelligence, and strong willed nature, making them best suited for active families and experienced dog owners who can provide them with plenty of exercise and mental stimulation.
