After spending the first chapter of her life as a puppy mill dog, Maz is discovering something wonderful:
Life is actually pretty amazing. Soft beds? Fantastic. Sunny yards? Delightful. People who adore her? Even better.
At approximately 8 years old, Maz has traded the chaos of her past for a much more sophisticated lifestyle. She's sweet, easygoing, and wonderfully independent. Think of her as that retired lady who quietly watches the neighborhood from her front porch and somehow knows everyone's business, even though she never says much.
Maz is happy simply being near her people. She'll curl up beside you on the couch, follow you around the house with quiet curiosity, and supervise your chores from the comfort of a plush dog bed. Whether she's judging your folding technique or snoozing through it entirely remains her business.
Why We Love Maz
Professional couch cuddler and expert nap enthusiast
Friendly with men, women, respectful children, cats, and dogs of all sizes
Housebroken when kept on a schedule
Rarely barks
Free-roaming and trustworthy in the home
Inquisitive, sweet, and incredibly easy to live with
Possesses a pair of soulful eyes that can melt hearts in seconds
Has mastered the art of quietly observing everyone while participating in absolutely none of the drama
Maz enjoys having canine roommates, but she doesn't necessarily need them. She's perfectly content to coexist peacefully, keeping an eye on everyone without feeling the need to join every committee meeting.
A Few Things to Know
Maz came from a puppy mill, so household life is still relatively new to her. She's taking it all in stride and is becoming more comfortable with everyday sounds and routines.
She currently sports a "summer haircut" courtesy of the mill, so she's feeling a bit naked at the moment. Fortunately, fall is her favorite season because by then she'll have her beautiful flowing locks back and can once again embrace her glamorous side.
Maz only has three teeth, so she enjoys five turkey patties of Smallbatch food each day. She isn't on any medications and is up to date on all of her veterinary care.
She knows "outside" and "up," which she believes is plenty of vocabulary for a lady of leisure.
Maz's Dream Home
Honestly, Maz isn't asking for much. A soft bed. A cozy couch. A yard to explore at her own pace. Someone to love her.
And maybe a household that appreciates having a tiny black-and-white supervisor quietly keeping tabs on things.
Her walkout song would be Go Your Own Way by Fleetwood Mac, which feels fitting for a girl who's finally getting to do exactly that.
If dogs had fashion styles, Maz would absolutely be a fan of soft cashmere sweaters and pearl earrings. Timeless. Comfortable. Effortlessly classy.
She's not looking for adventure.
She's looking for peace.
And after everything she's been through, this sweet little girl deserves nothing less.
Maz has spent years waiting for her happily ever after.
Now she's ready to spend the rest of her life simply being loved.
And judging your housekeeping from the world's softest dog bed.
