Murphy - Shepherd and Great Pyrenees Dog for Adoption in Minneapolis, Minnesota

Hello out there! My name is Murphy, and I’m hoping my adorable speckled coat caught your attention because there’s so much more about me to tell you! I earned very early extra points with my foster mom because when I first climbed into her lap, I placed my head on her shoulder and just held it there for the longest time in my version of a puppy hug. When she carried me around, she laughed because she could feel my big goofy puppy tail wagging against her. I truly love to be loved, and you’ll see right away what a kind and sensitive boy I am who is eager to meet and make new friends. I love all my toys and am very good at sharing them – whether that’s chasing a tennis ball or carrying a rope toy around, I’m quite content with anything you have to offer.

Murphy is a heartthrob – he’s fun, affectionate, and is absolute perfection when he looks up at you with his soulful eyes. He’s already learned to sit for his treats and use his designated potty area consistently, so he’s demonstrated he picks up on new things very quickly. He sleeps overnight in a pen with his brothers currently and is friendly and outgoing with the much larger resident dogs at his foster home. He rides very well in the car in his crate, which will come in handy as he continues to explore exciting new places. Anyone looking for a wonderful and kind pup would be lucky to make Murphy part of their family.

Murphy is estimated to be 14 weeks old and 19 lbs. Since we don’t know the dog’s actual genetics, this is just a guess on breed and size when grown. All dogs have had a vet examination, are up to date on all vaccinations, and have been given dewormer and heartworm prevention. Dogs over 7 months have been heartworm tested.
