Meet Mochi — A Little Wrinkle, A Lot of Love!

Some puppies wear their hearts on their sleeves. Mochi wears his personality all over his wonderfully wrinkled little face!

With his adorable forehead folds, floppy ears, soulful eyes, and irresistible puppy smile, Mochi looks like a distinguished little gentleman who's already figured out the meaning of life. Until he flashes that enormous grin!

This handsome Shar-Pei mix has a beautiful black-and-tan coat and a sweet, affectionate, trusting personality that's every bit as lovable as his appearance.

Mochi and his three siblings have quite a rescue story. Firefighters scooped the puppies out of a flooding river, but saving their feral mother required hours of patience. Rescuers placed her babies in a trap and waited until she finally entered, bringing the entire family to safety.

Despite that dramatic beginning, Mochi is a gentle, loving puppy with a non-dominant temperament and a wonderful willingness to trust people.

He's expected to grow into a medium-sized companion, approximately 40–50 pounds, although that's still an estimate.

Like any puppy, Mochi will need love, patience, and guidance as he discovers the world. In return, he'll bring plenty of affection, companionship, and those unforgettable expressions.

The Shar Pei is a distinctive breed known for their deep wrinkles and blue black tongue. Originally from China, these medium sized dogs are loyal, independent, and protective of their families. Shar Peis have a unique appearance with a hippopotamus like face and a broad, padded muzzle. Their coat can be either horse coat or brush coat, coming in a variety of colors. While they can be aloof with strangers, Shar Peis are devoted companions with a calm demeanor, making them wonderful family pets.
