Shotsie is an adorable salt and pepper Miniature Schnauzer boy. He is 3 years old. He came from a breeder who no longer needed him in her breeding program. He is sweet as can be but incredibly timid. He needs a patient, kind adopter to spend time with him and continue his socialization. He is learning to walk on a leash. He is approachable with coaxing but may run away from you until he gets to know you. He will be a devoted, amazing companion but still needs further socialization. We have worked with him as much as possible at the rescue but we seem to have hit a plateau. He needs more exposure and he needs to truly bond with someone.

Shotsie is a coated dog (hair grows continuously) and will need professional grooming every 6-8 weeks.

Shotsie's adoption fee is $400

This fee includes at least one health exam at our veterinarian while in our care, altering, all vaccinations including rabies (as permitted by age), a pre-adoption professional grooming and a microchip with lifetime membership that never will cost you a fee. All dogs also leave with a new collar and or harness and leash as well as a gift bag which includes among other things, a starter bag of the quality kibble that is being fed at the rescue. Adoption fees also allow us the ability to put funds towards the next homeless or unwanted dog in need of rescue! We review each application carefully. Please understand that sometimes we get numerous applications for specific dogs and as a volunteer-based rescue, we do not always have the time to respond to each one. We do our best to choose the most suitable home for each dog based on their specific personality and needs. Please note you MAY NOT be contacted for up to 10 days to schedule a meet and greet if your family is the most suitable for this rescue dog. Regrettably, we do not have the manpower currently to contact all applicants. We keep ALL applications in our database so please feel free to contact us when you see another dog of interest.
