Ymir - Saint Bernard Dog for Adoption in Springfield, Missouri

YMIR

Saint Bernard
🇺🇸
Springfield, Missouri
October 25th
male, extra large, senior

DESCRIPTION

Hello, I'm Ymir. Yes, I'm a St. Bernard. Yes, I weigh over 100 pounds. Yes, I'm 12-years-old. Yes, I'm on the thin side now, so I may exceed 125 pounds. I may be a chill, senior guy, but a family familiar with my breed would be great. Being older doesn't mean I won't still scale a chain link fence or pull hard on the harness/leash if I see something interesting.

I am potty trained and do fine in my giant kennel (as long as I'm not alone in the room). I get along with other dogs, respectful, sturdy, older kids, and even cats. Here is where I should mention that I was not neutered until recently, so I've been known to show a bit too much affection to other dogs. The neuter will likely help with that, but my foster mom says it's 'just rude' (I had no idea). Honestly, I'm pretty deaf, so her calling it rude doesn't hurt my feelings. . . I can't hear her anyway.

There are a couple of procedures in my future, a dental and an eye surgery. Rescue One veterinarians will take care of those issues. In the meantime, if you're a St. Bernard person (IYKYK), and would like to meet me, just complete the app:
www.rescueonespringfield.com/our-adoption-process/adoption-application/

My adoption fee is $75 and includes my spay/neuter, vaccinations, wellness exam, heartworm test, and microchip! If you're interested in meeting/adopting me, please visit www.rescueonespringfield.com/our-adoption-process/adoption-application/ and fill out the form! We do adopt out of state with vet references and video home check. *Adopter is responsible for coming to get the dog and returning the dog if the adoption does not work out*

*Remember, dogs are pack animals. Because of this, Rescue One does not adopt to outdoor-only homes. Pets are family and are not disposable. Please make sure that you are 100% committed to a pet before considering adding one to your home.

We are a foster-based organization, and we need more fosters to help us save more animals! If you’re interested in saving lives just like the one you’re reading about, fill out a foster app here. To foster dogs: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/foster/ROS/Dog
