Rhodesian Ridgeback, Irish Terrier
🇺🇸
New Orleans, Louisiana
May 10th
female, medium, young

DESCRIPTION

Bree and Laura almost didn't make it.

Rescued from euthanasia in a rural Louisiana parish, these two one-year-old sisters have spent their short lives learning that the world can feel big and scary. But through every uncertain moment, every new face, they've always had each other.
Perfectly midsized and full of personality, they play together constantly, sleep curled up close, and find courage side by side. Around other dogs, their goofy energy really comes alive! These girls love canine company, and it shows. You'll see it in the way they zoom across the yard together, or gently check in to make sure the other one is nearby. These two don't just coexist, they thrive together.
Laura is the outgoing one; gentle, loyal, and the first to warm up to new people and situations. Bree has her own quiet magic: intelligent and expressive, possibly with a little Irish Terrier spark mixed into her Rhodesian Ridgeback charm, she takes her time sizing up the world before deciding it's worth trusting.
What they need now is someone patient enough to show them that life can finally be soft. A calm home. Kind voices. A couch to share. A family that knows rescue dogs sometimes bloom slowly - but when they do, the love they give back is enormous.

They survived because someone gave them a chance at the last possible moment.

Now they're looking for the people who will make sure they never have to be afraid again.

Please note: Information to determine if you might be a match for one of our animals can only be found on our application.
*An inquiry, questions or introduction through Petfinder is NOT an application*
All known details about our animals are posted on their profile and updated daily. Other info will be discussed in detail with the foster during the application review process. Due to the high volume of introductions/questions received we ask you to submit an application (that application can be used for any dog with Take Paws Rescue).

Labels are necessary for postings to many animal networking sites, such as our website, Chewy, Pet Finder, and others. These are in no way a guarantee. Additionally, exact age and potential size cannot be guaranteed.

***Take Paws Rescue saves dogs from high-kill shelters across the South, owner surrenders, and discarded dogs with uncertain futures. All of our animals live in foster homes where they are socialized, and well cared for. An application will be required to make sure it's the perfect match!
