This 1-year-old, 20-pound boy was relinquished because his previous family could not keep up with his energy. We believe he may be a French Bulldog and Pug mix, but his exact genetic makeup is unconfirmed. What we can confirm is that he is very cute and occasionally airborne!
In general population with the other dogs, Rafferty plays it surprisingly cool. He's friendly, social, and happy to join the fun, but he also has this disarmingly mellow quality about him. You might look at him lounging among his buddies and think, "What a calm young gentleman."
This would be false.
Get Rafferty alone in the yard or take him out for a meet and greet, and the true Rafferty emerges. He runs. He bounces. He plays. He jumps into the air and performs a full midair spin for reasons known only to him. There are no tickets required for this performance, although treats are always appreciated.
Underneath all the acrobatics is a young dog who needs what most young dogs need: structure, routine, exercise, training, and someone willing to show him how to channel all that enthusiasm. Rafferty is sweet, eager to please, and full of potential. He's not trying to be difficult, he simply has places to go, things to investigate, and friends to make.
Rafferty would be happy to have canine friends who enjoy playing with him in his forever home. His ideal adopter will be active, patient, and excited to continue his training while including him in everyday life. Long walks, outings, adventures, play sessions, and plenty of mental stimulation would all be right up his alley.
If your idea of the perfect dog is a silly, affectionate little athlete who can hang with the group and then turn your backyard into an action movie, Rafferty is waiting. Please inquire today!
