If there is one thing Dukkah has proven, it's that nothing can dim his spirit!
To say his journey thus far has been rough would be the understatement of the year. Dukkah was originally found as a stray in rough shape... covered in fleas, dirty, underweight, and clearly having a very hard time. On top of that, he was unable to urinate due to severe urinary stones that completely blocked his system. He needed emergency surgery to create a new urinary opening, along with a procedure to remove the stones.
And unfortunately, his recovery wasn't simple. Due to complications and his high energy nature, Dukkah ended up needing a total of four surgeries to fully get him stable and healing correctly.
But through every single setback, Dukkah stayed Dukkah. Tail wagging. Happy. Friendly. Ready to see people. Ready to be loved. And now, finally, all of that is behind him.
Dukkah is healthy, comfortable, and officially back to being the silly, social, joyful boy he was always meant to be! He's the kind of dog who walks into a room and immediately wants to be everyone's friend. He does great with other dogs, loves people, and has a playful, goofy personality that makes him a favorite wherever he goes.
He's full of personality in the funniest little ways, whether it's the way he sploots out like a frog on the floor, or the enthusiastic way he drinks water like he just ran a marathon, he's constantly doing something that makes you smile.
Dukkah will need to stay on a urinary prescription diet for life and have routine monitoring, but otherwise he is a normal, active, happy dog who is ready to enjoy everything he missed out on.
After everything he's been through, Dukkah is just looking for a normal life, a loving home, and people who are happy to have him in it! Interested in Dukkah? Please inquire today!
