Atherton - Pug and Chihuahua Dog Available for Adoption in Gardena, California

Say hello to Atherton! He's about 2 years old, 14 pounds, and basically what happens when "tiny" and "adorable" combine into one perfect little dog.

We're not totally sure what he's mixed with, maybe chihuahua, maybe a little dachshund, but whatever the combo is, it worked! Atherton was relinquished because his previous owner could no longer keep him, but he adjusted quickly and didn't stay stressed about the change for long. He's pretty adaptable like that.

And he's a very easy dog to fall in love with! He does well with other dogs, has lived successfully with cats, and is good with people of all ages. He's social without being overwhelming and happy to just be included in whatever's going on.

He's also very into treats. Like, very into them. If there are snacks involved, Atherton is absolutely paying attention!

He's affectionate and enjoys being close to his people, whether that's hanging out on the couch or following you around the house. He's still young, so he has some playful energy too and would benefit from continued training, structure, and socialization as he grows.
