DESCRIPTION

✨ Meet Francois -- The Little Poodle With a Big Story and an Even Bigger Heart ✨
If ever there were a dog who deserved his happily‐ever‐after, it's Francois -- a 10‐year‐old, 14‐pound poodle with the soul of a poet, the charm of a French film star, and the comedic timing of a tiny, curly‐haired Napoleon.

This sweet boy has been owner‐surrendered twice, and not once because of anything he did wrong. First, he was adored by a young boy who went off to college, leaving his mom unsure how to care for him. Then a kind woman took him in, only to face unexpected health challenges that made it impossible to keep him. Through it all, Francois has remained gentle, loving, and hopeful -- because that's just who he is.

💛 Personality:
Francois is pure love wrapped in curls. He's sweet, affectionate, and still has plenty of pep in his step. He'll happily trot along on walks, ride like a champ in the car, and then melt into your lap like he was born for it.

He's fabulous with other dogs -- in fact, when he met his foster's two big dogs, he strutted in like a tiny general... and two hours later was doing play bows and zoomies like the world's smallest goofball.

🐾 What He's Looking For:
Francois wants what every senior dog deserves:

A home where he's part of the daily rhythm

Someone who enjoys having a little shadow

Walks, car rides, companionship

A cozy lap to claim as his own

He can be an only dog or join a home with others -- he's easygoing and social. What he truly needs is someone who is home more often than not, because being left alone for long stretches makes him anxious. He's a companion dog through and through.

🩺 Health Notes:
He has some skin issues we're currently looking into -- more updates to come. But he's otherwise a happy, lively little man with lots of love left to give.

❤️ Why Francois?
Because he's the kind of dog who makes a house feel warm.
Because he's loyal, funny, gentle, and grateful.
Because he's ready -- finally -- for his forever.

Can't you just picture this adorable little gentleman curled up on your couch, trotting beside you on walks, or snoozing contentedly in your lap? Francois is ready for his last, best chapter. Maybe it's with you.

ATTENTION PUPPY ADOPTERS: You must attend training/behavior classes with your new dog unless you are an experienced dog owner and your adoption coordinator is comfortable with your experience. This requirement is for your benefit and your puppy's, so if you experience behavioral issues, you have a point of contact.

PLEASE--Think long and hard before adopting a puppy. Consider the lifestyle change this puppy will come with. He cannot be crated for more than 3-4 hours until he's older. Puppy-proofing your home will be necessary. Puppies scratch and nip, so if you have small children, can they handle this? Training will be so crucial in this puppy's life. Do you have the time?
