Hi... my name is Nala.
I’m about 2 years old, 18 pounds, and I’m a Pomeranian/Chihuahua mix with a beautiful red coat.
I'm already spayed, up to date on my vaccines, microchipped and crate trained.
I will travel from south California to Ridgefield, WA by middle of October to live with my foster family. I can travel to Vancouver, BC if there is a potential family for me.
My adoption fee is $1000 US

Here is my story:
I used to have a home.
I used to have people.
And then one day...
I didn’t anymore.
I was surrendered to rescue.
I wish I could tell you what I thought when everything familiar suddenly changed.
Dogs don’t understand explanations like humans do.
We just know that yesterday we belonged somewhere...
and today, we don’t.
But I’m not angry.
I haven’t stopped loving people.
And I haven’t stopped believing that somewhere out there is a family who will choose me—and keep choosing me for the rest of my life.
When I first arrive somewhere new, I may need a little time to settle in.
Everything has changed for me once already, so I like to make sure I’m safe.
But once I realize I am...
My personality starts coming out.
I’m sweet.
I love attention.
I want to play.
I want to be included.
And I really, really want to be loved.
I’m also a pretty easy girl to make friends with!
Big dogs? I’m good with them.
Little dogs? Yep!
Cats? They're okay too.
Kids? I like them!
Basically, I’m just looking for a family with enough room in their hearts for one beautiful red girl who is ready to start over.
I’m spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and completely ready for my forever home.
But this time, I’m hoping for something very important.
When you tell me I’m home...
Please mean it.
I don’t need a perfect house.
I don’t need fancy things.
I need someone who understands that adopting me means I become part of the family.
Through the easy days.
Through the busy days.
Through vacations, moves, changes, and everything else life brings.
I want to know what it feels like when “forever” really means forever.
I want a favorite place to sleep.
I want toys scattered around the house.
I want someone whose footsteps I recognize.
I want playtime and snuggles.
I want to hear my name called with love.
And someday, I want to forget that there was ever a time when I lost my home.
Maybe I'll only remember the day YOU found me.
I’m only 2 years old.
I have so much life ahead of me and so much love still waiting inside my little heart.
My first chapter didn't end the way I expected.
But that's okay.
Because maybe the best part of my story hasn't been written yet.
Maybe it starts with you looking at my picture.
Maybe it continues with you meeting me.
And maybe it ends many, many years from now, with me still right beside the person who promised I would never have to look for another family again.
My name is Nala.
I’ve had a home before.
Now I’m looking for my **forever** one.
Could it be yours?
Love,
Nala
