Mia is here to remind us that good things come in small, slate-gray packages-and sometimes those packages come with a LOT of energy.
This lively little American Pit Bull Terrier mix wants to GO. She is curious, excitable, playful, and absolutely ready to get out there and experience everything life has to offer.
What Mia Is Like:
Energetic and full of spunk
Loves people and seeks out their company
Interested in every toy you put in front of her
Playful and curious with other dogs
Definitely ready for an active lifestyle!
Mia can be a little unsure when something is new. She initially showed some tension during handling and sometimes needed a moment to reassess when startled. But give her a little time and she comes around beautifully-in fact, once she warmed up, she half-crawled into her evaluator's lap while still keeping a watchful eye on the world around her.
Outside, Mia's enthusiasm is turned all the way UP. She's still working on the whole "walking in a straight line" concept and can pull when she's excited, but that's part of the fun of having a young dog who's so eager to explore. She even approached a new dog cautiously before deciding that, actually, play sounded like a pretty good idea.
Mia's Ideal Home Looks Like:
Kids around 10+, on a kid-by-kid basis
Other dogs, on a dog-by-dog basis
An active family ready to keep up with her
Someone patient enough to help her build confidence with new experiences
Lots of walks, playtime, toys, and adventures
Mia has a big personality packed into that gorgeous gray coat. She's still figuring out this whole dog thing, but she's already showing us that she's affectionate, curious, and ready to have fun.
If you're looking for a little adventure buddy with plenty of personality and absolutely no shortage of enthusiasm, Mia may be your girl.

Condensed Staff Assessment Notes: Mia was lively and energetic during her assessment. Although she initially showed some confusion and tension during handling, her demeanor improved as I interacted with her. She eventually sought my company, even half-crawling into my lap while remaining alert.
When startled, Mia needed time to reassess the situation and sometimes hesitated to return to it. She didn't have prior knowledge of how to play, but she engaged with each toy presented.
Outdoors, Mia was excitable, pulling on the leash and not walking in a straight line. She handled meeting strangers well, becoming excited but not overly reactive. When introduced to a new dog, she approached cautiously, transitioning from a low whine to playful behavior.
