What volunteers have to say about this animal:
Meet Luffy - Professional Greeter, Little Whirligig, Lover of Everybody
Luffy is a little pit-bull whirligig with one very important thing on his mind: YOU.
This spirited boy absolutely loves people and animals and is always ready to say hello. He'll jump up, spin around, wiggle, pull you toward him, and generally make it very clear that being near you is exactly where he wants to be.
What Luffy Is Like:
- Energetic, outgoing, and incredibly affectionate
- LOVES meeting people
- Curious and friendly with other animals
- Easily redirected and eager to learn
- Has approximately zero chill when he's excited
Luffy is still working on his restraint because sometimes his enthusiasm comes across as a little pushy. But he's a very good-natured boy who responds well to redirection and already knows "sit," especially when there are treats involved.
He's also a surprisingly steady little guy. Even when surprising noises caught him off guard, Luffy recovered well and carried on with his important business of meeting people and having fun. He's still figuring out toys and sometimes needs an extra moment to settle down during play, but honestly, there are so many people to love that who has time for toys?
Luffy's Ideal Home Looks Like:
- Kids, on a kid-by-kid basis
- Other dogs, on a dog-by-dog basis
- Someone ready to help him learn some polite-greeting skills
- Plenty of play, walks, training, and opportunities to socialize
- A family who doesn't mind being enthusiastically adored
Luffy has a BIG heart in a little body, and he is absolutely convinced that everyone he meets is his new best friend.
He's going to need someone willing to help him learn that sometimes we say hello with four paws on the floor, but we're pretty sure that once he figures that part out, he'll still find a way to love you just as hard.

Condensed Staff Assessment Notes: Luffy is an energetic and outgoing dog who loves meeting people and animals. He could improve his restraint, as his excitement can come off as pushy. Luffy tends to pull on the leash but had good stability and recovered well from surprising noises. He understood the cue "sit," especially when treats were involved, and could be easily redirected. While he enjoyed interacting with people, he didn't show much experience with toys and sometimes needed an extra moment to calm down during play.
