Meet Molly: 49 Pounds of Couch Potato, Professional Spooner & Certified Snuggle Bug!
Do you dream of having a roommate who pays no rent, hogs the bed, has absolutely no interest in hiking, and considers a 10-minute nap an exhausting workout?
MOLLY IS YOUR GIRL.
This 11-year-old, 49-pound chocolate beauty is a professional lounger, enthusiastic spooner, and full-time love bug who has officially retired from the hustle and bustle of life. Her idea of a perfect day? Couch. Baby (her beloved stuffed comfort toy). Snuggles. Repeat.
Right now, she's living the dream.
Molly's journey hasn't always been this cozy. She was once a stray in Alabama, battled demodex mange, and shared a foster home with five other dogs. Now she's ready for the happily-ever-after she deserves, complete with a soft couch, a loving family, and a best furry friend.
Molly's resume of highly specialized skills includes:
Professional spooning: Your bed is her bed. Your blankets are her blankets. Your personal space? Well, that's adorable. Did you actually think you had any?
Olympic-level lounging: Low energy living is her love language. She enjoys one daily doggie play session, but nobody's confusing her with a marathon runner.
Expert baby care: Molly has a beloved baby she suckles for comfort. It's her treasured little security blanket, and her new family must make sure her baby stays safe from curious canine siblings. She would be lost without it. (A thought: you can snap a pic with Google Lens, and they can find it on the internet. But multiples, just in case the worst happens. You're welcome.)
Kissy face specialist: Those sweet eyes, adorable ears, kissable nose, and flirty personality are basically an unfair advantage.
Thunderstorm snuggling: Thunder and lightning are scary, but tuck her under the covers with her favorite humans, and suddenly the world is a much safer place.
Her dream home?
Molly has a few non-negotiables. And frankly, after 11 years on this planet, she's earned them.
She NEEDS a fenced yard. Leashes are apparently an instrument of unspeakable betrayal, and Molly may simply plant herself in protest rather than take a walk. She is house trained, but because she refuses to walk much on leash, accidents can happen. A yard will make potty breaks much easier and help her succeed.
She also NEEDS a friendly, happy canine companion. Not a pushy roommate or a furry drill sergeant. Just a sweet dog who enjoys lounging beside her, sharing some affection, and occasionally indulging in a little playtime.
Cats? Yes. Kids? Yes. Horses, donkeys, and chickens? Yes, yes, and yes. Men and women? Yes. Crates? She can, but she'd much rather not. Commands? She knows her name, and really, what else does a girl need when she's this charming?
Molly is a low shedding, quiet, easygoing girl who eats a variety of canned and dry foods, with occasional raw additions. She has a dental scheduled for October 6, and her vet has indicated the hair on her freckled little bootie may not grow back. Consider it her signature designer look.
Her walk-out song? “Girls Just Want to Have Fun.” Because Molly's version of fun involves a little playtime, a lot of cuddling, and absolutely no getting her feet wet.
Molly isn't looking for someone to teach her to conquer the world. She's looking for someone who will let her enjoy it, one cozy nap at a time.
A fenced yard. A sweet dog friend. A couch. A human bed. And someone who understands that love sometimes looks like a 49 pound brown girl sleeping on your legs while you slowly lose all circulation.
That's Molly's happily-ever-after.
