Suki - Pit Bull Terrier Dog for Adoption in Petersburg, Virginia

Give Suki a little time outside with you and she flops into the grass, rolls onto her back, and waits with all four paws in the air for somebody to rub her belly.

She is a seven month old tan and white girl with a white stripe down her forehead, soft folded ears, and long white legs she is still growing into. She came to Petersburg Animal Care and Control as a stray.

Suki is sweet, and she very much wants to love her people. She takes a minute with someone new. Once she decides you are safe, she settles in close for pets and the belly comes right out. She is also good with other dogs.

The home that suits her best is a calm, patient one that lets her warm up at her own pace and gets her outside often.

Being honest about what we do not know. Suki is still new to us, so we cannot yet tell you how she does with cats or children.

We prefer to schedule appointments for meet and greets to make sure someone is available to spend time with you. The shelter is open Monday through Friday, 12pm to 4pm, and appointments outside of those hours may be available based on volunteer availability.
