SMUDGE
Black Labrador Retriever, Pit Bull Terrier
🇺🇸
Petersburg, Virginia
November 3rd
male, medium, young
DESCRIPTION
Ask Smudge to sit and he plants himself right in front of you, tips his face up, and holds your eye like he is waiting to hear what comes next.
He is a young black and white boy, somewhere around one to two years old, with a white stripe down his face, a big white bib, white feet, and a sprinkle of black freckles across his muzzle. He came to Petersburg Animal Care and Control as a stray.
Ask the volunteers about Smudge and you hear the same thing every time. He is just a really nice dog. He is friendly with people and with other dogs, he walks well on a leash, and he already knows a few commands.
He has some bounce in him right now, which is what a young dog gets from time in a kennel. A home that gets him out walking and keeps up the training he already has is going to suit him perfectly.
Being honest about what we do not know. Smudge is still new to us, so we cannot yet tell you how he does with cats or children.
We prefer to schedule appointments for meet and greets to make sure someone is available to spend time with you. The shelter is open Monday through Friday, 12pm to 4pm, and appointments outside of those hours may be available based on volunteer availability.
