Rhino will set his chin in your hand, close his eyes, and stay right there for as long as you are willing to hold it.
He is a gray boy with a short coat, big brown eyes, and a serious little face that makes the moments he relaxes even better. He is still putting weight back on, so the family who takes him should expect to watch him fill out for a while yet.
The volunteers describe Rhino the same way every time. He is incredibly sweet, and all he wants is love. He will lean into whoever is scratching him and follow up with a long, soulful look to make sure you are not stopping.
A quiet home with a soft bed, good meals, and somebody who likes a dog who wants to be close would suit him perfectly.
Being honest about what we do not know. Rhino is still new to us, so we cannot yet tell you how he does with other dogs, cats, or children.
We prefer to schedule appointments for meet and greets to make sure someone is available to spend time with you. The shelter is open Monday through Friday, 12pm to 4pm, and appointments outside of those hours may be available based on volunteer availability.
