Meet Marley!

Marley is currently living at the shelter and is eligible for BFAR’s Foster to Adopt program.

Marley is a 5-year-old male Great Pyrenees mix born on March 13, 2021. He weighs approximately 112 pounds.

PERSONALITY: Marley is an exceptionally sweet, gentle boy who loves human attention. He is happiest staying close to his people and would gladly join you for a slow walk before settling in for a couch snuggle.

FAVORITE THINGS: Marley loves car rides, leisurely walks, couch time, head scrubs, and being with his people. If his volunteer stops rubbing his head before he thinks she should, he looks at her like he cannot believe she left the job unfinished.

TRAINING: Marley is potty trained, comes when called, and is food motivated. Despite his size, he is nearly perfect on leash and stays right beside his handler while walking.

CHILDREN: Marley has done well with children of all ages.

CATS: Marley has not been cat tested.

OTHER DOGS: Marley must be the only dog in the home. He has guarded high-value items from other dogs, which can create conflict in a multi-dog household. He has not shown resource guarding toward people and is very sweet with his human handlers.

BEST FIT: Marley needs a home where he can be the only dog and enjoy all the attention for himself. His adopter should be comfortable handling a very large dog and have room on the couch for a 112-pound snuggle buddy.

Marley is a big, lovable companion with wonderful manners and plenty of affection to give. He is ready to leave shelter life behind and have a family all to himself.

All of our dogs are up to date on vaccinations, spayed or neutered, microchipped, and on preventatives.
