DESCRIPTION
Meet Slate, a one-year-old pocket pittie with the look of a forever puppy and a heart full of love. At just around 35 pounds, he's compact, adorable, and packed with sweetness and playful energy. Found as a stray, Slate has adjusted beautifully to foster life and is quickly proving what a special little guy he is.
Slate is great with other dogs and absolutely loves to play-especially wrestling! He doesn't need a super high-energy companion, but if he has a dog friend, they should enjoy playtime as much as he does. He holds his own with bigger dogs and doesn't get overwhelmed easily. With cats, Slate is more curious than anything-he may try to initiate play, but he respects their boundaries and backs off if corrected.
This boy is a total snuggle bug and thrives on human attention. He's happiest curled up next to his people after a good play session. He enjoys enrichment activities and is always up for something that keeps his mind busy.
Slate walks nicely on leash overall, though he's still working on not zigzagging as he explores the world. He's not a big fan of the crate and may whine at first, but he does settle in after about 15-20 minutes.
If you're looking for all the lovable, goofy, affectionate "pittie" traits in a perfectly pint-sized package, Slate might just be your guy.
