Charlene is a 6-year-old sweetheart who's ready to enjoy the next chapter of her life after raising her puppies. Now it's her turn to be spoiled-and she's more than ready to soak up all the love.
She's incredibly people-oriented and happiest when she's near her humans, whether that's joining you on a walk or relaxing at home. Charlene has a wonderful moderate energy level-she enjoys playful bursts (tennis balls are a favorite!) and then settles in easily for a cozy nap. She's working on her leash manners and improving with consistency. Charlene also has a fun, playful side and loves toys... though she may "de-stuff" the plush ones, so durable toys are a great choice!
Charlene is dog-neutral and does best with a "parallel play" style-comfortable around other dogs without needing a lot of interaction. She does enjoy having her people to herself and can be a bit sensitive when sharing attention with other dogs, so a home that can be mindful of that-or one where she can soak up the spotlight-would help her thrive.
She's good with kids, and her compatibility with cats is currently unknown. She has shown interest in birds and bunnies on walks, so she may have a higher prey drive and would benefit from slow, thoughtful introductions to smaller animals. She may bark briefly when first kenneled but settles down quickly once she's comfortable.
Charlene is also on a special diet for urinary health, which her future family will need to continue.
