Dachshund and Australian Cattle Dog Blue Heeler Dogs Available for Adoption
DOTTIE D10914 *ARRIVING 5/1*
Dachshund, Australian Cattle Dog Blue Heeler
April 20th
female, small, baby
DESCRIPTION
This sweet Dachshund mix is as cuddly as they come. She absolutely adores everyone: people, kids, other dogs, even chickens! If you've got love to give, Dottie is ready to soak it all up. Her favorite place? Curled up right next to you, snuggled in as close as possible.
But don't be fooled... this tiny girl has an adventurous streak! Dottie is a clever escape artist (a true Doxie at heart ). She's small, curious, and smart enough to find gaps you didn't even know existed. Because of this, she'll need a securely fenced yard and a family that appreciates her spunky, curious nature.
Dottie also has a soft side, she LOVES her stuffed animals and quiet cuddle time after a day of exploring. She hasn't learned formal commands just yet, which means her future family gets the special opportunity to train her and build a strong, lasting bond from the very beginning. With patience, consistency, and plenty of treats, this smart girl is sure to shine.
Dottie is impossible to resist - and once you meet her, you won't want to! If you're an active, loving home ready for adventure, cuddles, and a whole lot of personality, Dottie might just be the pup for you.
Dottie is from Texas. They arrive in Minnesota on 05/01/2026 and will need to be picked up from the Ruff Start Rescue office in Princeton, MN between the hours of 9am and noon. Please plan for their arrival accordingly as we cannot accommodate pickups outside of this time frame. Since they haven't arrived yet, they are available exclusively through Ruff Start's Foster to Adopt (FTA) Program. Visit our Foster to Adopt Program page to learn more. Once they get to Minnesota, they might require further veterinary care. Ruff Start's veterinary suite is located in Princeton, MN, and, as the foster, you will be required to transport your dog to and from these vetting appointments.

The dachshund is a small dog breed known for its long body, short legs, and distinctive appearance. Originally bred for hunting badgers, these playful and loyal dogs make loving companions for families.
