Meet Loki!
A Blue-Eyed Boy Ready to Find His People
Meet Loki, a stunning 3-year-old Shepherd/Husky mix arriving into our care from our rescue partners on September 5th.
Loki was found wandering a neighborhood in Texas for weeks after being abandoned. When he was first discovered, he had a shoelace tied around his neck instead of a collar. Slowly, with food, water, patience, and kindness, he learned he was safe and began following his rescuer around and waiting for them each day.
Today, Loki is a sweet, goofy, playful boy who loves attention and being close to his people. He is good with dogs and cats, house trained, and crate trained. He has a high energy level and would love an active family who can give him plenty of walks, playtime, and opportunities to explore.
Loki can be a little cautious around some men if they approach too quickly, but giving him time to come forward on his own makes all the difference. Once he trusts you, he's happy to lean in for love and stay by your side.
Loki has tested positive for heartworm and is currently receiving treatment. His treatment is underway, and he is expected to go on to live a happy, healthy life. He has tested negative for Lyme, Ehrlichiosis, and Anaplasmosis.
This beautiful blue-eyed boy has already learned that people can be kind. Now he just needs someone willing to give him the patience and love he deserves.
