Liszt - Mixed Breed Dog for Adoption in Wheeling, Illinois

Liszt is at our shelter. Please submit an application from our website or just come in to meet him during open hours!

2-month-old Liszt arrived from southern Illinois with his mom and eight siblings at the start of September! They were sadly dumped at the local animal control when the pups were about 4.5 weeks old, and Heartland quickly scooped them up and brought them to our puppy suite!

Liszt has the most endearing puppy dog eyes that will melt anyone's heart! He loves to stare at you and pull at your heart strings until you scoop him up for some cuddles. Aside from loving his human time, he also loves to play with his siblings and entertain himself with all of the fun toys in our puppy room! If you are looking for a pup that will be your shadow, Liszt is your boy!

Liszt's adoption fee is $450. This animal is neutered, and is up to date on core vaccines appropriate for their age.

They will need a rabies vaccine at 4 months of age and a Heartworm test between 6-7 months of age at the adopter's own vet.

Since he is a puppy, any adopter should anticipate needing to work on housebreaking and other training using positive reinforcement training only.

The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
