Locke is a 6-ish-month-old Alabama boy who has officially traded Southern life for a new adventure at Heartland Animal Shelter-and he's ready to find his forever family!

Friendly, fun, and approximately 87% paws, Locke is still growing into his body. Those GIANT puppy feet are giving us a pretty strong indication that this boy has some serious growing to do! We're expecting a future filled with big adventures, big zoomies, and probably some very large shoes to fill!

Locke LOVES people and other dogs, thinks everyone is a potential best friend, and every new experience is an opportunity for fun. He's sweet, curious, playful, and has that irresistible puppy personality that makes it very hard to get anything done when he's around.

He is absolutely the sweetest pup, and his loving personality is all the more remarkable for his rough beginnings. A rescuer in Alabama found him as a very skinny puppy, roaming a rural, wooded area and took him in. He had terrible mange, so she was not sure what color his coat would be. She took such great care of him- and look at him now! He has a beautiful silky coat, with black and tan markings. He is a quintessentially handsome dog.

Locke's adoption fee is $300. This animal is neutered, up to date on core vaccines, and Heartworm negative.

Since he is a puppy, any adopter should anticipate needing to work on housebreaking and other training using positive reinforcement training only.
