DESCRIPTION

Looking to adopt a sweet, beautiful puppy? The lovely Maple Chiffon is back at the shelter and is eager to meet you! She is from the recent Sweet Treats litter. Due to the objections of other pets in the home, Maple is now seeking a new place of her own. She is sleeping in her crate through the night, and working hard on learning house training skills and basic good manners like sit and stay. She is smart, playful, and guaranteed to brighten up your day, every day! Chiffon gets along well with cats, and is generally a sweet, happy, typical puppy. Do not delay, apply today; she is ready to begin her new life with you!
She is currently around 16 weeks and 15 lbs. Mom weighs around 45 Ibs., and dad was just about 30 Ibs., so she is likely to be a medium sized dog when full grown and is not expected to exceed 45 Ibs. herself.
Maple Chiffon had been adopted out, but the resident cat was not on board with having a dog in the house, so MC is looking for a new place of her own where she will be welcomed by the whole family! She would prefer an active household that can give her the training, exercise, and attention all growing puppies need, with lots of patience and plenty of love to show her how great life is when you have a caring family to call your own!
Her adoption fee is $200 and an additional $200 deposit is required which will be refunded upon proof of spaying.
Results of the DNA test: A true mixed breed! 17 different breeds, nearly all of those breeds were very low percentages for each one. Just 1% each are the Perro Leonés de Pastor (aka the Carea Leonés), and the German Shorthair Pointer! 2% each of Chinese Shar Pei, Doberman Pinscher, Bulldog, Australian Cattle Dog, Australian Shepherd, and Boston Terrier. 4% Collie, 5% each of Chow Chow, Labrador Retriever, Miniature American Shepherd, and Border Collie, and 6% German Shepherd! And for the top 3 breeds with the highest percentages: we have 11% American Pit Bull Terrier, 16% Staffordshire Terrier, and 29% Siberian Husky!
*Approved applicants are welcome to participate in our popular Slumber Party program and take a dog home for up to 2 weeks to make sure he/she is a great fit.
If you think you might be interested in adopting, your first step should be to complete an Adoption Application at www.caninerescue.org. *After you have completed your application, you will get a confirmation that we have received your application. It takes a lot of time to process the applications, so we ask for your patience while we do so. If you see that the dog you were interested in has been adopted it means there were many applications for that dog and we did not get as far processing your application before a home was found. We welcome you to apply again when you see another dog that interests you. If you have a question, please email us at adoptions@caninerescue.org. It is much easier and quicker for us to respond by email as we receive many phone calls each day.
We do adopt out of state, however we do not transport or ship dogs. Potential adopters must be able and willing to travel to the Rescue to meet the dog they are interested in.
*PLEASE double check all of the phone numbers that you provide. If they are incorrect, we will not be able to process your application. Please also let your references know that someone from NCCR will be calling them. Most adoption team members call from their personal phone, so advise your references that there may be an unknown or private number calling them. Thank you!

ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED

The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
