Wesley - Terrier Dog for Adoption in Westfield, New York

It's time for the Saturday Sneak Peek at Northern Chautauqua Canine Rescue, Inc.! Arriving this evening, 9-26, give a warm (but quiet!) welcome to 3 little souls who are a little shy, a bit timid, and not quite ready to come all the way out of their shells just yet - Wesley, Swiffer (*Will be listed soon), and Polly are cautiously optimistic that coming to NCCR will be the best thing that ever happened to them, because they know that is how they are going to find their very own forever families and the fairy tale happily ever after they all deserve!
Wesley is a 2 year old neutered male small breed terrier, possibly a mix of terrier and other breeds, or maybe just several different types of little terrier. He has an adorably scruffy gray & white coat, very handsome.
These 3 are all going to need a little patience, a lot of kindness, and some special understanding, and they would prefer a calmer home without too much day-to-day commotion, but if you have a gentle heart and can allow them the time they need to adjust and bond, they are sure to give you their whole hearts and be your devoted companions.

*Approved applicants are welcome to participate in our popular Slumber Party program and take a dog home for up to 2 weeks to make sure he is a great fit.
If you think you might be interested in adopting, your first step should be to complete an Adoption Application at www.caninerescue.org. *After you have completed your application, you will get a confirmation that we have received your application. It takes a lot of time to process the applications, so we ask for your patience while we do so. If you see that the dog you were interested in has been adopted it means there were many applications for that dog and we did not get as far processing your application before a home was found. We welcome you to apply again when you see another dog that interests you.

We do adopt out of state, however we do not transport or ship dogs. Potential adopters must be able and willing to travel to the Rescue to meet the dog they are interested in.
*PLEASE double check all of the phone numbers that you provide. If they are incorrect, we will not be able to process your application. Please also let your references know that someone from NCCR will be calling them. Most adoption team members call from their personal phone, so advise your references that there may be an unknown or private number calling them. Thank you!
