Meet Diamond!

Diamond came to HSCC after her guardians were no longer able to care for her. During her time with us, staff and volunteers have grown to fall in love with this sweet soul. She is quietly adoring, spirited and playful, and fiercely devoted to her people. Once you're in Diamond's circle, you have a companion for life. She can be a little nervous in novel environments and with new people, so might take a little bit to warm up at first, but earning her love and affection is highly rewarding, and getting to watch her learn to trust and let people in is an experience just as precious as her name.

Diamond is looking for a home that can offer the support she needs to truly thrive. She is a little hesitant with new experiences, and might need some extra patience and TLC to feel truly safe and relaxed - but she warms up quickly and has been so brave about all the adjustments! Diamond typically is more anxious during transitions and when first left alone, but has been lucky enough to have experienced two wonderful foster homes during her time at HSCC. Her fosters have been working hard with her to help her establish consistent routines and expectations, and have reported that after the first few days, she settles right in and makes herself at home. A true couch potato, Diamond enjoys her walks and outdoor time, and then is content to curl up on the couch or sunbathe for the rest of the day. She's like a little shadow, and is content to stick by her person's side. Diamond has a history of sharing her home with dogs, cats, and kids - the trifecta! She would make someone a great office buddy and furry companion for life.

One of her fosters had this to say about Diamond:
"It didn't take long for Diamond's gentle soul to shine through and win us over. While in foster, Diamond was a lovely addition to our household. Happy to follow us around and always ready to snuggle up on the couch for long cuddle sessions. She is a tender girl who responds quickly to a warm and patient person that can encourage her and remind her she is safe. With these simple things in place, Diamond will give you her heart."

Dogs: Diamond has a positive history with other dogs, and has lived with one in her foster home. HSCC staff would be more than happy to facilitate a dog intro with your resident canine!
Cats: Diamond has a positive history with dog-savvy cats.
Kids: Diamond has lived with children in the past and done well with them.
