Meet Skylar!

Skylar is a 5-year-old 51 lb mixed-breed sweetheart with a gentle nature, a playful spirit, and a smile that is sure to brighten your day.

When Skylar first arrived in rescue, she was covered in ticks and clearly hadn't received the care she deserved. Thankfully, those days are behind her now, and she is ready to focus on what comes next: finding a family of her very own.

Skylar has been a pleasure to handle and has shown herself to be a friendly, affectionate girl who enjoys spending time with people. She loves attention, happily accepts pets, and has an easygoing personality that makes her a joy to be around.

While Skylar has a calm and loving side, she also enjoys having fun. Recently, she showed off her playful personality during outdoor playtime, enthusiastically engaging in a game of tug and happily chasing after toys. Watching her interact with her handler, it's easy to see that Skylar enjoys spending time with her people and is always ready for a little fun. One thing you'll notice about Skylar is her unique ear. She has a puffy ear caused by an old hematoma, giving her a distinctive look all her own. It doesn't seem to bother her and certainly doesn't slow her down. In fact, we think it simply adds a little extra character to an already wonderful dog.
