Hi, Im Millie a 3-month-old, 16 lb Heeler mix with a quiet little spirit, a sweet heart, and a very serious talent for cuddling.
Im not the life-of-the-party puppy, and honestly, I think that is part of my charm. Im more of the soft, mellow girl who likes to stay close, watch the world for a minute, and then quietly decide you are my person.
Im docile, sweet, quiet, and cuddly. I have a low-to-medium energy level, which means I can enjoy puppy play, but Im not the wild, nonstop type. Im happiest when life feels calm, kind, and predictable.
At first encounters, I can be a little introverted. Im not rude or scared of the world I just like to take things in before I fully bloom. Once I feel comfortable, my sweet side comes out, and Ill happily follow my human around like a tiny, loyal shadow.
Im great with everyone, including people, kids, dogs, and cats, but I would do best with a family that understands my gentle nature. Respectful kids would be wonderful for me; super loud, chaotic energy is probably not my favorite lifestyle.
I love cuddles and being near my person. I dont need to be the center of attention to be happy. I just want to belong somewhere peaceful, where my calm little heart is noticed and appreciated.
Im crate trained, and I sleep through the night in my crate like a good girl. Im also potty trained when Im kept on a consistent schedule and let out about every 4 hours. I ride well in the car, and Im learning leash skills as I grow.
Im up to date on my vaccinations, and Im ready for a family who understands that puppies still need guidance, patience, routine, and love. I already have such a lovely foundation, and with the right people, Im going to grow into a truly wonderful companion.
My story started in Texas, where I was rescued with my sister from a construction place. Im safe now, loved now, and ready for the next chapter the one where I find the family who sees my quiet sweetness as something special.
My ideal home would be a calmer family, a gentle human, or someone who wants a sweet, mellow puppy rather than a wild little party animal. I could enjoy a kind dog friend, peaceful routines, cozy evenings, snowy morning walks, and quiet company while you work from home or relax at the end of the day.
Im not looking for just any home. Im looking for the right fit someone who wont rush me, overwhelm me, or expect me to be someone Im not. Im the kind of puppy who may start softly, but once I trust you, my love is steady and real.
I was rescued in Texas and Im looking for a foster-to-adopt family in the northern states. That means you get 23 weeks to try real life together the morning routine, the crate time, the car rides, the cuddles, the leash practice, and all the small everyday moments that help you know if we are truly meant to be.
Theres no pressure in the process. If for some reason Im not the right match, my rescue will quickly find me another home so everyone stays supported and safe. Its a thoughtful way to make sure my forever family is truly the right one.
Transport runs every other weekend, and Ill be making my trip north soon. Pickup locations are Staunton VA, Winchester VA, Wythville VA East Hartford, Connecticut and Brattleboro, Vermont. Maybe well meet at pickup, and Ill be the happy little guy ready to start my next adventure.
The best way to apply for me is through the website: [www.rociosrescues.org](http://www.rociosrescues.org)
You can also email [rociosrescues@yahoo.com](mailto:rociosrescues@yahoo.com) with questions. Petfinder inquiries sometimes go to spam, so applying through the website is the best way to make sure your application is seen.
I have a feeling my person is out there... and if youve made it this far, I think we might need to meet.
