Hi, Im Andy a 2-year-old, 16 lb Chihuahua with a playful personality, a sweet little heart, and the kind of friendly charm that makes people smile pretty quickly.
Im a fun, outgoing little companion who can match the energy around me. If theres a playful dog friend nearby, I can be active and silly. If its just me and my human, Im very happy to shift into cuddle mode.
Im friendly, sweet, and playful, but Im also easy to enjoy in everyday life. I like being part of whats happening, and Id make a wonderful sidekick for someone who wants a loving little dog to include in their day.
Im good with strangers, great with cats, and good with dogs of any size. A friendly dog in my future home could be a lot of fun for me, especially one who enjoys having a happy little buddy around.
Kids are unknown for me, so a home with adults or older, respectful children would probably be the most thoughtful fit. Im not being picky I just deserve a home that sets me up to feel safe, loved, and understood.
Now, here is one of my best little quirks: I love water. Give me a baby pool and I may just hop right in and splash around like I have important summer business to handle.
Im crate trained, house trained, and non-destructive, which makes me a really nice little housemate. Im also up to date on my vaccinations and ready for a home that appreciates both my fun side and my affectionate side.
Before rescue, I was found as a stray in a Texas neighborhood. That part of my story is behind me now, and Im very ready for the part where I get to be someones loved, chosen, included little companion.
My ideal home would have a friendly dog friend, a human who wants a sidekick to take places, or someone looking for a fun little companion who is also loving, social, and cuddly. I can imagine cozy evenings, weekend outings, sunny yard time, snowy morning routines, and maybe even a little baby-pool season when the weather warms up.
Im not looking for just any home. Im looking for the right match someone who sees my playful spirit, my sweet personality, my good house manners, and my splashy little joy, and thinks, Thats exactly my kind of dog.
I was rescued in Texas and Im looking for a foster-to-adopt family in the northern states. That means you get 2 to 3 weeks to try real life together the home routine, the dog introductions, the cat-friendly moments, the cuddles, the crate time, and all the little everyday things that show whether we are truly a fit.
Theres no pressure in the process. If for some reason Im not the right match, my rescue will quickly find me another home so everyone stays supported and safe. Its a thoughtful way to make sure my forever home is truly the right one.
Transport runs every other weekend, and Ill be making my trip north soon. Pickup locations are Staunton VA, Winchester VA, Wythville VA East Hartford, Connecticut and Brattleboro, Vermont. Maybe well meet at pickup, and Ill be the happy little guy ready to start my next adventure.

I have a feeling my person is out there... and if youve made it this far, I think we might need to meet.
