Hi! My name is Oscar, I am a 4 year old, 18 lbs chihuahua male.

If youre looking for a dog who loves casually, I should probably be honestI dont know how to do that.
When I love someone, I love them with my whole heart. I form deep bonds, stay close to my people, and take my role as loyal companion very seriously.

Im a smart little deer-eared Chihuahua with a big personality and an even bigger devotion to the people I trust.

Once youre in my circle, youre my favorite person in the world. Ill happily ride along on adventures, keep you company around the house, and make sure you never feel alone.

Because I care so deeply about my people, I naturally like to keep an eye on things. Thats why I do best with someone who understands that loyalty and protectiveness go hand in hand and can provide me with the structure and guidance I need to feel secure.

Im not looking for a busy social life. Im looking for my person.


My ideal day is actually pretty simple.A nice walk, a car ride, some time spent together, and a cozy place to relax near my favorite human sounds just about perfect.

Ive been working hard on my leash skills and learning to feel comfortable around new people and busy environments. In fact, Ive even been walking on a crowded bike path and doing very well.

When Im given clear expectations and a confident leader, I relax and settle beautifully.

Backstory

I found myself back in rescue through no fault of my own.
My previous owner loved me very much but experienced serious health issues and could no longer care for me.

It was a difficult change, but Ive handled it with resilience and grace, and now Im ready to find the next person who will become my whole world.

My best match is an experienced, adult-only home with someone who appreciates the incredible bond that can develop between a devoted dog and their person.

Someone who understands thoughtful management, structure, training, redirection, and clear communication wont just get a dogtheyll gain an incredibly loyal best friend.

I would prefer to be your one-and-only pet so I can focus all of my attention where it belongs: on you.

Im house trained, crate trained, up to date on my vaccinations, and ready for my forever home.

Ive recently had a dental, slimmed down, transitioned to a healthy canine diet, and Im feeling fantastic.

I also happen to be an excellent car rider and would be thrilled to join you on your daily adventures.
