Hi, Im Charlie. Im a 2-year-old, 50 lbs Boxer/Pittie mix with a gentle heart, a playful spirit, and so much love to give.
The people who know me best say Im the kind of dog who makes every milestone worth celebrating. Ive been working hard to build my confidence, and with each new day, my affectionate, loyal personality shines a little brighter.

If youre looking for a best friend who loves companionship, enjoys adventures, and is ready to form a deep bond with his person, I just might be your guy.

Personality + Traits
If I had to describe myself in a few words, Id say sweet, gentle, smart, affectionate, and eager to connect.
I genuinely love my people and enjoy being part of whatever theyre doing. Whether were exploring a trail, playing with toys, or simply relaxing together after a good day, Im happiest when I feel included.
Im also a sensitive introverted guy. I notice things, think about them, and sometimes need a little extra time to process new people or experiences. Once I realize everything is okay, my loving personality shines through.

Ive been working hard in group training, meeting new people, building confidence, and learning that the world can be a pretty wonderful place.
One of my favorite activities is going on sniff walks. Some dogs rush through life, but I prefer to stop and appreciate the details. Every scent tells a story, and sometimes I get so invested in reading them that I need a little encouragement to keep moving.
I also love toys and enjoy playing with my foster dog friends. In my foster home, I especially enjoy spending time with Lilly, a Lab mix, and Dougie, a little Chug. Having gentle canine friends around has helped me continue building confidence and social skills.

My fosters have invested a lot of time helping me become the best version of myself.
Ive been participating in group training, meeting new people, working on confidence-building exercises, and learning how to navigate the world with trust and optimism.
The amazing thing is that its working.
Every week I continue to make progress, and the people who know me best are incredibly proud of how far Ive come.

Im looking for someone who understands that great dogs arent rushed.
Someone patient, kind, and committed who enjoys training, enrichment, outdoor adventures, and celebrating progress.

I could do well with another gentle dog, and I have experience being around school-age children in my former foster home.

Im house trained, crate trained, up to date on my vaccinations, and currently thriving with continued training and enrichment.
Im good on a leader-style leash, and my harness will come with me.
Im approximately 50 pounds, athletic, and strong, but I dont pull on walks. My biggest challenge is deciding when its time to stop investigating all those amazing smells.
Important Safety Note
Im an athletic guy and can jump a four-foot fence.
Because of this, Ill need either a secure six-foot fence or an adopter fully committed to leash walking and thoughtful outdoor management to keep me safe.
