DESCRIPTION
If you grew up loving The Fox and the Hound, the name Copper may already bring a little warmth to your heart - and this handsome brown puppy is ready to make the name his own.
With his rich copper-colored coat and sweet puppy face, Copper has the kind of charm that makes you want to follow him wherever his little paws take him. He's at that wonderful stage where everything is worth investigating, every new smell is exciting, and every person might just be a potential best friend.
Like the beloved Copper whose name he shares, there's something especially endearing about this little guy. But this Copper isn't here to live in anyone else's story - he's ready to write his own. And after being rescued from Louisiana, thanks to our rescue partner BISSELL, his story is just beginning anew in the Hamptons.
Copper is currently receiving treatment for a manageable skin condition and is available for adoption while he recovers. His new family will need to continue his prescribed treatment, and our team is happy to walk them through everything they need to know!
Copper may share his name with a favorite Disney pup, but his next chapter is waiting to be written - and he's hoping you'll be part of it.
ABOUT: BEAGLE DOG BREED
The Beagle is a beloved breed known for its friendly nature, curious personality, and distinctive howl. These small to medium sized dogs are incredibly sociable and get along well with both humans and other pets. Beagles are curious and energetic, always eager to follow a scent with their incredible sense of smell, making them excellent hunting and tracking dogs. Their short coat is easy to maintain, and they are adaptable to various living environments, making them popular companions for families and individuals alike.
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
