DESCRIPTION
This sweet little Southern fella has already been through quite a whirlwind! Gravy traveled all the way from Alabama after being flown to New York ahead of Hurricane Isasis, helping make room for more dogs in need of rescuing after the storm. Now he's safe on dry land, but this little biscuit still needs some time to realize the storm has passed and his brighter days are ahead.
Gravy is a very shy, shut-down little guy right now. The world feels mighty big to him, and he's still figuring out how to feel safe in it. He may not be ready to show off his personality just yet, but no worries! Some little souls need a bit more time, a softer approach, and a whole lot of patience before they're ready to let their light shine. No need to rush this gravy to a boil - we'll let him warm up at his own pace!
After all that traveling to get to safety, Gravy is ready for a different kind of Southern hospitality - a cozy bed, a safe place to rest, and a family who loves him just as he is. He may be a little gravy boat rocking in a storm right now, but with time and love, we hope he'll find his calm waters.
ABOUT: HOUND DOG BREED
The hound dog breed is a diverse group known for their incredible hunting abilities and keen sense of smell. These dogs are esteemed for their athleticism, endurance, and loyalty, making them excellent companions for active individuals and families alike. With a rich history of assisting hunters in tracking and trailing game, hounds possess a strong prey drive and a distinctive bay when on the hunt. Hounds come in various sizes and coat types, each with its unique characteristics, but they all share a remarkable intelligence and a friendly disposition.
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
