Zinni is approximately 5 years old and 13#. She could stand to lose a couple more. We think she may be a black Lhasa Apso mix. She’s a smart little girl with a playful side, a love for her toys, and a whole lot of love to give to the person lucky enough to call her theirs!
Zinni loves to play fetch and is especially fond of her stuffed toys. She knows commands, is totally housebroken, and is crate trained. Her crate is her safe space, where she can relax and feel comfortable. When playtime is over, Zinni is ready for her other favorite activity, being on your lap!
Zinni can take a little time to warm up to new people. Once you’ve earned her trust and become her person, she loves you with all her heart and soul. She may not be an instant best friend to everyone, but the bond she builds with her person is something special. We think she would do best in a home without children.
One important thing to know about Zinni is that she will need regular grooming. She came to rescue with painful mats that had become so severe that they trapped feces in her fur, making it difficult for her to potty. This caused painful, oozing sores around her bottom. No dog should ever have to endure that, and we’re determined to help Zinni find a family who will keep her coat clean, comfortable, and mat free.
Zinni is spayed, current on vaccines and prevention and is microchipped. Her adoption fee is $300. To meet her, please submit an application at www.k9kindnessrescue.org/adopt. As a reminder, we are not a shelter location and require a scheduled meet and greet.
Adopters must live within 175 miles of the Quad Cities. All pets currently in the home must be routinely kept up to date on shots, prevention and fixed to be approved for adoption.
