Jersey - Goldendoodle Dog for Adoption in Riverdale, Iowa

BALL IS LIFE!

Meet Jersey! This approximately 1 year old, 45# pound girl (possibly a Goldendoodle) is basically a walking, wagging celebration of life. She loves people, loves kids, loves dogs, loves cats... and did we mention she LOVES BALLS!?!

Jersey has energy to spare, but she also understands that some days are made for taking it easy. Toss the ball a few times, and she’s happy to hang out and snuggle when it’s time to slow down. She’s a bit of a clinger, too, so if you’ve been looking for a furry shadow to follow you around, Jersey is ready to apply for the position!

Jersey is house trained and crate trained, although it is not her favorite place to be. She can be crated while you’re at work or when needed. Just skip the blankets because she considers them chew toys.

Jersey is very playful! She LOVES to play fetch. She does great with dogs and cats. She may need a little adjustment period depending on the resident cats. Her foster home has one cat who plays with her like a dog and another who prefers to attack first and ask questions never.

Jersey’s fosters are working on the basics, sit, paw, sit pretty, down, and she’s catching on pretty quickly. She needs some work on leash walking, so her future family should be ready to help her polish those skills.

A securely fenced yard is a must for this girl. We wouldn’t trust her on a tie out or with an invisible fence because curiosity would absolutely get the best of her. There are just too many exciting things to investigate!

Jersey is still young, full of life, and ready for a family who will give her the exercise, training, playtime, and love she deserves.

Jersey is spayed, current on vaccines and prevention and is microchipped. Her adoption fee is $300. To meet her, please submit an application at www.k9kindnessrescue.org/adopt. As a reminder, we are not a shelter location and require a scheduled meet and greet.

Adopters must live within 175 miles of the Quad Cities. All pets currently in the home must be routinely kept up to date on shots, prevention and fixed to be approved for adoption.

With their curly or wavy coat that comes in various colors, these versatile and loving dogs require regular grooming to keep their coat healthy and tangle-free.
