Max - Wirehaired Pointing Griffon Dog for Adoption in Riverdale, Iowa

Max is almost 13 weeks old. His mom is a Wirehaired Pointing Griffon and dad remains a mystery. We can only imagine what kind of handsome he’ll grow into! His paws are big! We think Max will be a large dog when full grown.

Max is a sweet, curious puppy who is figuring out this whole “being a dog” thing and making great progress! He is good with other dogs and LOVES playing with his canine friends! He’s become more playful as he settles in, but once playtime is over, he’s ready for a good nap. Max is also doing well with the resident cat and neighbor kids.

His fosters are working on crate training and potty training. He has started using a bell to let them know when he needs to go outside, and guess what? ZERO accidents in the house yesterday! Woohoo, Max!

Max prefers stuffed animals over bones currently. He carries them around wherever he goes! Max is a little shadow who will follow you everywhere. Need a kitchen assistant? Max is happy to supervise while you cook. Just don’t expect him to actually help with the dishes! Max LOVES water! We think we have a little adventurer on our hands.

Max seems to have a medium energy level so far. He enjoys playing and exploring, but he’s also perfectly happy to settle in beside his people and recharge his puppy batteries.

He’s still a baby, so he’ll need a family committed to continuing his potty training, crate training, socialization, and positive reinforcement training as he grows. Puppies are adorable little works in progress, and Max is off to a great start!

Max is current on vaccines and prevention and is microchipped. His adoption fee is $350. He will be adopted on a neuter contract to give his bones time to grow. To meet him, please submit an application at www.k9kindnessrescue.org/adopt. As a reminder, we are not a shelter location and require a scheduled meet and greet.

Adopters must live within 175 miles of the Quad Cities. All pets currently in the home must be routinely kept up to date on shots, prevention and fixed to be approved for adoption.
