Malachite - Labrador Retriever and German Shepherd Dog Dog Available for Adoption in Yakima, Washington

MALACHITE

Labrador Retriever, German Shepherd Dog
🇺🇸
Yakima, Washington
June 3rd
male, large, baby

DESCRIPTION

Meet Malachite, a two-and-a-half-month-old Lab/German Shepherd mix weighing 18 pounds.

Malachite is a handsome, big-hearted puppy who came to us through our My Last Litter Program, an initiative that helps reduce pet overpopulation by spaying mother dogs while finding loving homes for their puppies. Because of this program, Malachite has the opportunity to find a family of his own while helping create a brighter future for dogs in our community.

This big boy is friendly, outgoing, and loves people. Malachite has been well-socialized and enjoys meeting new friends, getting attention, and being included in whatever is happening around him. He has a confident, happy personality and approaches life with the playful curiosity and enthusiasm that make puppies so much fun.

As with all puppies, Malachite is still learning the skills he'll need to become a well-mannered adult companion. His new family should be prepared for normal puppy behaviors such as chewing, exploring with his mouth, jumping up when excited, and needing regular potty-training and structure. Consistent routines, patience, and positive reinforcement will help him understand what is expected and set him up for success.

Since Malachite is already a big boy and still growing, early training will be especially important. Teaching basic manners, leash skills, and appropriate greetings now will help him develop into a polite and confident adult dog. Continued socialization and puppy training classes are excellent ways to build his skills, confidence, and bond with his family.

Malachite is looking for a home that will provide him with love, guidance, exercise, and opportunities to continue learning. In return, he promises plenty of affection, laughter, and loyal companionship.

This pet is available for adoption on 6.2.26 at the Yakima Humane Society adoption center. If you recognize this animal please contact the adoption center at 509-457-6854.
