Meet Flint, a two-and-a-half-month-old Lab/German Shepherd mix weighing 18 pounds.
Flint is a lovable puppy who came to us through our My Last Litter Program, an initiative that helps reduce pet overpopulation by spaying mother dogs while finding loving homes for their puppies. Thanks to this program, Flint is ready to find a family of his own and begin the next chapter of his life.
While Flint is friendly and enjoys people, he is a little more reserved than some of his siblings. This thoughtful big boy likes to take a moment to assess new situations, but his sweet nature shines through quickly. Flint is very human-oriented and has a wonderful habit of checking in with his person for reassurance and guidance. He forms connections easily and enjoys being close to the people he trusts, making him an excellent companion for someone looking for a puppy who values that special bond.
Like all puppies, Flint is still learning about the world around him. His adopters should be prepared for typical puppy behaviors such as chewing, playing, exploring with his mouth, and occasional accidents as he learns his house-training routine. Puppies thrive with patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement, and Flint will benefit from gentle encouragement as he builds confidence in new environments and experiences.
Because Flint is expected to be a big boy when fully grown, early training and socialization will be especially important. Teaching basic manners, leash skills, and confidence-building exercises now will help him develop into a well-adjusted adult dog. His tendency to look to his people for guidance will make training a rewarding experience and provide a strong foundation for a lifelong partnership.
Flint is looking for a family that will give him the love, structure, and encouragement he needs to continue blossoming. In return, he'll offer loyalty, affection, and the kind of companionship that comes from a puppy who truly enjoys being by your side.
