Meet Candy, a two month old Lab/Chihuahua mix weighing 7 pounds.

Candy is a shy but sweet puppy who is just beginning her journey in life. She came to us through our My Last Litter program, which helps reduce pet overpopulation by spaying mom dogs while also finding loving homes for their puppies. Her mom is a Lab mix, and dad is believed to be a smaller dog, possibly a Chihuahua mix—so Candy and her littermates are likely a fun blend of many breeds, and it will be exciting to watch them grow.

Candy has short little legs and a gentle, reserved personality. She may take a bit of time to feel comfortable in new situations, but with patience, kindness, and positive experiences, she has all the potential to blossom into a confident companion.

Like all puppies, Candy will need continued socialization, training, and structure as she grows. Early experiences with new people, places, sounds, and other animals will be especially important in helping her build confidence and become a well-rounded adult dog.

Candy is looking for a patient home that understands puppy development and is ready to guide her with love, consistency, and lots of encouragement as she discovers the world.
