Once upon a time, there was a girl named Rosalina who deserved a whole lot more than the hand life dealt her. This 7-year-old retriever-hound mix came into rescue severely emaciated and in need of emergency surgery. But this girl? She's a survivor with a silly side, a voice of her own, and a happily-ever-after still waiting to happen.
Rosalina has made a remarkable recovery, and she's ready to put the hard chapters behind her. At 41 pounds, she's still working toward a healthier weight, so her future family will get to help her continue that journey with good meals, thoughtful care, and plenty of encouragement. Consider it a deliciously rewarding project: helping a deserving girl get stronger while she figures out all the good things life should have included from the start.
Now, about that voice! Rosalina enjoys a good conversation and isn't afraid to contribute her thoughts once she's had a little time to warm up. She's not necessarily going to spill all her secrets at the first meeting, but give her a chance to get comfortable and you may discover that her commentary is half the entertainment. Hound heritage does come with certain expectations, after all. A girl has things to say, and silence is apparently not her preferred communication style.
Her name practically sings, and Rosalina is ready for a life worthy of a standing ovation. She's been through more than any dog should have to endure, but she hasn't lost her ability to be silly and enjoy the world around her. Now she needs a family willing to let her settle in, help her continue gaining healthy weight, and show her that the best part of her story is still ahead.
Rosalina is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and negative for heartworm and tick disease on her 4DX test. If you have room in your heart for a resilient girl with a recovering body, a growing appetite for life, and plenty to say once she knows you, Rosalina is ready for her next act. Her past was no fairytale, but with you, the ending can be beautiful.
