Meet Darcie, part Labrador, part retriever, and 100% lovable chaos.

At just 1 year old, this goofy girl is fueled by zoomies, snacks, and the firm belief that personal space is highly overrated. Darcie is bursting with energy and fully prepared to take on the world one splash puddle, hiking trail, and stolen potato chip at a time.

Like any proper Lab mix, Darcie is obsessed with water. Kiddie pool? Amazing. Mud puddle? Even better. Bath time? Okay… she’s still thinking about that one. After a full day of adventures, though, she’s more than happy to plop herself on the couch beside you, “borrow” your snacks, and binge-watch sitcoms like she pays the streaming bill.

Darcie is sweet, playful, and always ready to make new memories with her future family. She’s current on all her vaccinations, micro chipped, and will be spayed before heading to her forever home.

Unfortunately, Darcie’s previous family did not keep her on heartworm prevention, and she is currently heartworm positive. The good news? Heartworms are treatable, and with the proper treatment she can live her life happy and healthy.

Darcie's $250 adoption fee includes spay/neuter, up to date vaccines, microchip AND transport fee to a location near you. We currently have transportation to CT, MD, NJ, NY, PA, VA, GA, and TN. Please email transport@hssm.org for more information on transports!
