Fitzgerald *Arriving 8/22/2026* D12143 - Labrador Retriever and Retriever Dog for Adoption

Say hello to Fitzgerald! This adorable little guy may have been the runt of the litter, but nobody told him he was supposed to have a small personality!
Fitzgerald is adventurous, affectionate, intelligent, playful, and, quite honestly... THE CUTEST! He loves toys, enjoys a good game of tug-of-war, and thinks playing chase with his dog friends is the best thing ever. He's also a rough-and-tumble little wrestler who loves getting in the middle of the puppy action.
Fitzgerald does well in the car and is always ready to see where the next adventure might take him. He has a fun, outgoing personality and loves having things to do, explore, and investigate.
Of course, Fitzgerald is still a puppy, which means there is plenty of learning ahead! He has lots of energy and will need a family who has the time, patience, and attention to help him grow into the wonderful adult dog he's meant to be. He's used to being home alone for part of the day, but he has always had his siblings with him during those times, so his new family should be prepared to help him adjust to being on his own.
Fitzgerald is looking for someone who will embrace all the fun, chaos, cuddles, training, and puppy antics that come with raising a young dog. In return, you'll get to watch him grow into the best boy.

Fitzgerald is from Texas. They arrive in Minnesota on 8/22/2026 and will need to be picked up from the Ruff Start Rescue office in Princeton, MN between the hours of 9am and noon. Please plan for their arrival accordingly as we cannot accommodate pickups outside of this time frame. Since they haven't arrived yet, they are available exclusively through Ruff Start's Foster to Adopt (FTA) Program. Visit our Foster to Adopt Program page to learn more. Once they get to Minnesota, they might require further veterinary care. Ruff Start's veterinary suite is located in Princeton, MN, and, as the foster, you will be required to transport your dog to and from these vetting appointments.
