Hi, I'm Penelope! A sweet, loving girl looking for a patient, experienced home.If you're looking for a dog with a huge heart, I just might be your girl! I'm incredibly affectionate and love spending time with my people. Once I feel safe, I'm happiest being close by for cuddles and companionship.I'm also a smart cookie I understand commands in both English and Spanish! I enjoy having structure and do best with a predictable routine as I continue building my confidence.I can be fearful in new situations. Loud noises, unfamiliar people, and new environments can make me anxious, so I'm looking for a family that understands it may take me time to settle in. I'm an active girl with plenty of energy! I enjoy walks, but I'm still learning good leash manners and can pull, circle, or become excited when out and about. With consistent, positive reinforcement training, I'm making progress and have lots of potential. Crates aren't my favorite place, but I do sleep in one overnight. I love to chew, so durable toys like rubber or nylon chews, along with puzzle toys and other enrichment activities, help keep my busy mind occupied
