Turks is the kind of guy who takes life at his own pace. He's a quiet, laid-back boy who is completely content being the only dog in the home. He can tolerate other dogs, but he really prefers to do his own thing and enjoy his peaceful little world.
Turks is crate trained and leash trained, and he's looking for someone who will be patient with him as he settles in and learns to feel more confident. He can be a little unsure at first, so a calm, understanding person who is willing to let him move at his own pace will be important.
He is also still working on house manners, particularly marking indoors. His future family should be prepared to patiently work with him on this and help him understand what is expected of him.
Turks also has a special care need that his forever family should be comfortable with: his tail pocket needs to be kept clean as part of his regular bulldog grooming and care routine.
If you're looking for a low-key, quiet companion who doesn't need to be the life of the party, Turks might be your guy.
Turks is from Texas. They arrive in Minnesota on 8/22/2026 and will need to be picked up from the Ruff Start Rescue office in Princeton, MN between the hours of 9am and noon. Please plan for their arrival accordingly as we cannot accommodate pickups outside of this time frame. Since they haven't arrived yet, they are available exclusively through Ruff Start's Foster to Adopt (FTA) Program. Visit our Foster to Adopt Program page to learn more.
